Like-Mindedness Transparency

Hello,

the Like-Mindedness feature appears to be relating my memories to the memories of other users. Is that an accurate representation of what is going on?

If a post is marked with “Looking for like-minded”, it means that this post will be shared between your Second Me and other users’ Second Me to help find people who resonate with it.

The current prompt explaining this feature is not clear enough, which may understandably cause concern. We will improve the explanation next week so that everyone has a clearer understanding and greater control.

Also, if you accidentally select “Looking for like-minded”, you can remove the post from this feature at any time.

      I appreciate the explanation.

It’s unclear how to currently unshare something.

I’ll be honest, this seems like a neat feature but also seems to go against some of the core principals of MeBot so far, which are about being able to be candid and personal, treating this app almost like a journal.

If the option exists to potentially share my journal with a tap by accident, that’s a cause for concern for me.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts—we completely understand your concern. After a thorough discussion within our team, we’ve realized that this feature isn’t as fully considerate as it should be. As a result, we’ve decided to take it down for now while we rethink how to better align it with MeBot’s core principles.

Again I appreciate the transparency and consideration, truly.

I’m wanting to know how my memories are used, and relayed to others.
