‘Speak’ function not working half the time

Used the ‘Speak’ function of the app and it didn’t transcribe for me and asked me to ‘write my thoughts’ but when I click away, it ask me if I want to discard the voice recording

Not the first time this has happened and it does this maybe 50% of the time when I click ‘Speak’ from Widget to App.
